Happy New Year from Loco in Yokohama

I just wanted to take out a moment to wish all my readers a Happy New Year or as they say here in Japan: akemashite omedetto gozaimasu.

The Japanese have another little phrase they use quite a bit this time of year and I’ve grown fond of it. It goes: Kon toshi mo yoroshiku onegai shimasu. No real translation for it culturally but literally it’s like saying: thanks for looking out for me last year and please look out for me this year too.

Pretty cool, right? Well, it’s the sentiment I want to convey to me readers exactly! I will keep cranking out the posts, time permitting and god willing, and endeavour to improve the quality so that your visits will be more rewarding than ever!

This year I have one major resolution. That is to get my books into publishing shape and into the right hands so that they may make the shelves sometime in the very near future. If I can achieve that goal then all other goals will fall into place I think.

Kon toshi mo hontou ni ganbarimasu (I will give it my very best effort this year as well)

And I’ll be chronicling this process on Loco in Yokohama so stay tuned.

Once again, thank you all for your support over the past year and I look forward to hearing from all of you soon! I wish a healthy and prosperous New Year to you and your families.

Sincerely,

Loco in Yokohama

Loco! Hisashiburi desu ne, man. Seriously! I know I've gone AWOL for a hot minute, but I'm back. I regret missing some of your posts, but the important thing is that I caught the ones that I did. I gotta say, you do a decka job of putting us in your shoes and thoughts through your writing. You're a real inspiration bruh. I'm still gonna do the interpreting thing, so I'm all set. Nice to hear from you, and take care.

man, should have read the blog post before commenting and then forgetting about reading it, only to come back and realize, from reading the post, that I ahould have used the particle も instead of また to signify a continuation in my last sentence. Well, I live and learn and get better at 日本語 as a result.

    Happy New Year Loco!
Your blog was my best find this year.

    Remember..
The only one blockin' Loco is Loco. If you wanna get shit done then get on it.
Time to get busy gettin' busy.
Me need a good read and I'd be first in line to cop that book.
I'd like to get it signed so when you do a book signing tour I could run game on your "groupies" Loco?…Hell yeah I know him! We fought the Germans back in Nam 😉 I used to help him vaccinate poor orphans and shit. The dude is an un-sainted saint! You wanna meet him? Hell yeah I can get you that. I got a hotel room right over there. Let's go and make some calls and make this happen. Is that your friend…the one with the tight top and skirt? Oh yeah…she can come too!! 🙂
