Thank you all for your patience (assuming you were all just sitting around waiting for me to get it together.) Well the wait is over:
Got myself a new self-hosted blog and spanking new logo and banner, and a bunch of other doodads to make my blogging life a little easier and your experience here a bit more pleasurable.
Quick shout outs to a couple of people who have made this transition much less painful than I heard it could be.
First off: Michael Gakuranman of Gakuranman.com. You, Sir, have been well worth the investment and a wealth of insight and information. Not to mention the exceptional job you did with the banner! Couldn’t have done it without you and I’m most grateful to have made your acquaintance. Your support through this process has been invaluable. Your slogan is “illuminating Japan”. Well you’ve illuminated Loco, as well. Anyone out there looking for a gifted, patient, professional web designer and writer? Mike’s your man! Thanks so much!
Secondly, big shout out to my logo designer: Bridget, of Bridget D. Babel. As you can see, the sister is quite gifted, from idea to concept to design, she walked me through the process with infinite patience and professionalism. If you’re looking to get any kind of design work done, just check out the link above. Her artistry and satisfied clients speak volumes. Thank you so much, Bridget! Hopefully I will need work in the future, as Loco in Yokohama grows (hope hope) and you can be sure I’ll be knocking on your inbox again!
Thirdly, to the guys over at blogwell.com! Transferring blogs and redirecting blog traffic can be a nightmare, but these guys have the ultimate Redirecting for Dummies going over there at blogwell, among other goodies. Definitely check them out!
And to all of you who expressed concern when post were not forthcoming at my usual consistent pace, thank you for your shouts, as well. It’s nice to be missed (-: And though I hadn’t posted, you’ll be happy to know I have been writing. Writing like a mofo!
And not only in my head (-:
Well, I’m just dying to hear what y’all think about the new look of Loco, so please don’t hesitate to share your thoughts. This is not a beta version. Though there is still some archiving underway, the site is essentially done. However, if you should come upon something that comes between you and enjoyment, please let me know and I’ll rectify it (if I can) expeditiously.
