Yokohama, in living color #8: A Junior High School in Yokohama
I’ve written a lot about the drama and adventure at Schools A and B, and at the new school C, but rarely do I actually show pics of the environment in which I work. I guess that left a lot to the imagination.
Well, I’m going to remedy that today with a dose of the real. Following are scenes from School C.
Let’s start with the teacher’s office:
Here’s the front entrance.
Trough for the kids to drink and wash in…

sugoi! thanks for showing your school!
The teachers area looks scary!
The teacher office looks remarkable similar to any other teachers office the u.k, same look of crowded controlled chaos. I like the garden, do the students spend their own time in there or is it just for show?
Wow. This place is so much nicer than the pits I had to go to during childhood. Thanks for posting these.
Holy crap thats a nice school! I was in the pits myself as well, BoukenLou.
@boukenlou @jeff guess i got lucky. I've never been to a pit school. The worst thing I could say about any school I've worked at is its proximity to the station. This one is a 15 minute walk up hills and shit
thanks for the shouts
How can you live with the CHAOS!?? O.O
Well I guess, after some years, people gets used to it eh?
@Allessia
Chaos is part of life sometimes. And chaos makes for the most interesting writing, but my whole life isn't this …wait, yes it is. (-;.
