NaNoWriMo: 30 days of writing!

November is National Novel Writing Month and, that’s right, for the 1st time, yours truly is in!

So, yeah, basically I have from No 1 til Nov 30 to slap 50000 words together into a story.

I haven’t written a novel in over a decade so I’m a little nervous, but I’m up for the challenge.

That’s about 1700 words a day if you’re in to math…more math: my average blog post is in the 900 to 1000 word range, and I don’t post daily. In other words to reach this goal I will have to be more prolific than I have ever been in my life!

At least, I’m not alone. Nope. I got two buddies, fellow Tweeters and Japan Bloggers in fact, who have also pledged to do 50000 words in a month. Anna of Budget trouble-Travel and Trouble in Japan and Ashley of Surviving in Japan without much Japanese (Both lovely blogs you should check out if you a chance by the way!) So, I have a mini-support group! Yippee

Of course if any of you guys want to get in on this it’s not too late. Just go to www.NaNoWriMo.org and register!

The more the merrier.

My back-up plan for keeping myself on the path to success with this undertaking is by using you guys. Yeah I know you’re like “not again!”

Yep, I was debating whether or not I should write this novel on my blog, start up a new blog especially, or write it offline.

What do you guys think?

Keep in mind, at that pace there be very little editing if any, which means it’ll be raw Loco. (-; I like that!

Chime in here, poll closes Wednesday at Midnight.

I’ll get back to you with the results.

Anyway, wish me and my two companions luck!

Ashley and Anna, Ganbarimasyou ne!

Loco
