What The Hell Are Japanese Teens Thinking About???
Some of these crazy kids I spend my days teaching are actually pretty talented artist. But, that’s not what caught my eye, so much as getting this beautiful insight into their thinking and internal life. I just walked in one day ran smack into the future posted all over the school. Please check out some of the pics on this post for yourself!
And take a second and let me know what you think below.

The Other Reason I love Japan: The Girls!
Go figure: All I did was stick the words Japanese girls and sex in the same post and what do you know? lol. Actually, in this piece I answered the age old question: Are Japanese girls easy? And I guess people liked my answer. What do y’all think?
Most Controversial Post
Don’t You Understand Japanese???
It wasn’t easy to choose a controversial post. I don’t even know if this was the most controversial. All I know is it generated some discussion that got heated. It seems a number of readers took issue with my taking issue with a staff-person at an Izakaya who I thought to be way too friggin’ presumptuous. What do you think?

Top 10 Ways To Cuss Someone Out in Japanese (and English mixed)
So, yeah, if you live here, and have a spouse or 恋人you probably have felt as frustrated as I have with the inability to find just the right Japanese word to capture what you need to get off your chest sometimes. Am I right? Well, that was before Loco came up with Ebonapanese! Now, those days of being tongue tied or restricted to impotent Japanese words are over You can thank me later. (-;

How to Win Both A Pulitizer and The Nobel Prize For Literature
“Don’t call it a comeback, I’ve been here for years!” said LL Cool J on Mama said knock you out, and I felt him when I read and listened to some of the feedback on this post. Some of my readers, to my surprise, had referred to this post as a return to the Loco of old that had attracted and held them in the first place. I still don’t quite understand why exactly but it is one of the most successful posts I’ve written this year.
Most Attention Lacking Post
Chai Enema
This was one of the few fictional posts I’ve written for Loco in Yokohama, and I guess since my readers were accustomed to reading the real here, they kind of let this one slide beneath their notice. I had a lot of fun with it though and think it warranted a bit more attention than it got, but perhaps I’m wrong. Could be just my ego talking. What do you guys think?
Most Proud Post
A Liberating Thought
I kinda think of this post as my manifesto or mission statement. I had written it in response to certain commenters insisting upon my doing something to affect change here in Japan rather than simply writing about the challenges of living here. I’m very proud of how I responded to these provocations, as well as of the many things I have accomplished during my tenure here in Asia and this post captures my thoughts and feelings on the matter very concisely I believe.
And now to hand the baton over to five more nominees to participate in TripBase’s My 7 Links initiative:

I’m not sure who she is. i just dug the pic. lol Thank yo!
I shouldn’t like it, but….yeah that girl giving me the finger really is working on various levels.
Frankly I think I can cuss people out in a considerably more colorful fashion and it actually gives me an idea for a post in the future.
Glad i could inspire you sir! Love to see what you come up with! Considerably more colorful being a huge boast, so I am curious to see you back that up! lol. Thanks for the shout yo!
“I am Jack’s medulla Oblongata”

Gonna have to re-read that Pulitzer prize post. That was an amazing piece of blogestry. And some others that may have slipped from my memory.
Thanks Daft! Let me know what you think once you do!
Loco,
After just revisiting your most proud and surprising posts…I’m starting to remember why I am here. Things had gotten all shaken up halfway through ‘Beloved’…and I’m just not ready for the second half, not yet. But I have a feeling I will be, maybe soon…
Thank you.
Thanks Will! And you’re welcome. Do you mean here metaphysically, here in Japan or here at Loco in Yokohama? lol
Yeah, Beloved is one of “those ” books! You don’t merely feel like a better person if you get it. You ARE a better person once you get it!
