The wait is over!

Hi! My Name Is Loco and I am a Racist

has arrived!

ON SALE NOW!!

The highly anticipated first book by Baye McNeil (a.k.a. Loco of Loco in Yokohama) is now available from both Amazon and Barnes & Noble online!

The Kindle version of this controversial new book is available from anywhere in the world at Amazon.com. Just follow this link: Kindle Version. You don’t even need to buy a Kindle. Just go to the order page and download (for FREE) a Kindle Reader for your Mac, PC or smart phone.

The Trade paperback version is still being perfected, but once it’s available I’ll be having a book launch party and doing some signings around Yokohama, Tokyo and Kawasaki. So stay tuned for that in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, enjoy your E-version and don’t forget to leave reviews at the Amazon and Nook pages so that others can know how much you enjoyed the book–as I have every confidence you will!

Any estimate of when it will be ready? I hope you can have it for sale on amazon.co.jp

Sorry, it wont be on Amazon JP )-; But I will probably do a sighning in this area and sell them personally (-; If you’re not in the Tokyo/Yokohama area, I’ll ship it to you…and for being such a great supporter I’ll probably throw in something nice! Thanks Mamotaro!!

Yeah, I’m not in Kanto, so it would be great if you could send me a copy. Thanks mate!

Any reason why it won’t be on the .jp site? I would assume that’s where you can sell the most copies.

Hey man, congratulations – let me know if there is any way I can help you out – if you’d like to do a video blog on the book, I can set something up either via Skype, or as of Feb 1, I’ll be in Yokohama for work so maybe in person?

First though, I’m gonna get me a copy to read :)

    Peace

Somehow I’ll get myself a copy sometime. Congrats! I look forward to reading it. I don’t have Kindle, mostly because I’m a print book lover :) I’ll have to consider Kindle in the future, though. I’ve got publishing plans, too! But not for a couple years.

I think I’ll write a post on my blog about this :)

    • Locohama 20 January 2012 at 12:10 am Permalink

Thanks Yo! You know you can download a Kindle reader from Amazon for FREE right? You don’t actually need to buy a Kindl;e device. Those are just for the people that love to carry arpound libraries i their pockets…wait I like that idea. Gonna get me one of those things lol But you don’t need one to read my book on your PC or Smartphone. It’s a free app.
      Looking forward to your post!

      • Jay Dee 20 January 2012 at 1:30 am Permalink

Whoops! I knew it was free. I don’t know why I was thinking otherwise. Post has been posted! And tweeted and all my friends know about it on Facebook, too.

  15. Miki 26 January 2012 at 12:40 pm Permalink

Hi :) I’m totally new to the site and found your book completely accidentally through the wonders of Twitter.

I only read a sample of your book so far, but I’m about to download the whole thing. It’s so weird? funny? nice? to see my own thoughts written on paper, proving that I’m at least not alone in how I view my time spent in Japan.

Thank you for writing your book and getting it published!

    • Locohama 26 January 2012 at 2:03 pm Permalink

Thanks Miki!! Where did you read the excerpt? Just curious…Thanks for the support! I have a feeling this is going to be one 1o1, and please leave a review on amazon if you have a chance!! Much obliged!

      • Miki 26 January 2012 at 2:56 pm Permalink

//Thanks Miki!! Where did you read the excerpt? Just curious…//

From Amazon. :) Almost all or all Kindle books have the option to send a sample of the book to your Kindle or other reading device so you can read a little bit before deciding whether you want it or not. It’s a really nice feature, in my opinion.

Loco-sama! Congrats and wishing you all the best. Here is my small contribution to the marketing plan: http://www.loneleeplanet.com/2012/01/all-eyez-on-loco/

PS I bought the e-book (it is first e-book that I have ever owned) and eagerly await the paperback. Bring it… :-)

Reesan!! Thank you so much! It looks great and all those choice links!! Just great, man! Small? Don’t be ridiculous. This is huge!

    Hi Loco,

Congrats! I love that cover…that alone has got me thinking about the contents! My friend runs http://www.loneleeplanet.com (I usually make poor choices in friends lol) and I stumbled across the review while checking out his posts. I am a bit of a traveller and am now living in Peru, and being Australian, which has a bit of a bad rep for being racists, i’m always interested in seeing different cultures and the interaction of foreigners so I look forward to buying a copy! It sounds interesting!

I am really excited for your book. I became an avid of your blog late last year and been following some of the classroom drama and the character development of your students. Good job on the publication and I can’t wait for my copy from Amazon.

    Hi Loco.

I just reviewed your book on Amazon but I wanted to say here how amazing it was. It made me think about my life here in Japan and my own views of the world. I laughed and cried. Keep writing more wonderful things!

The cover of this book speaks so much as to what it is like to live in Japan. I look forward to picking up a copy.

I think I just spent over 2 hours trying to get the Kindle version on my iPad. Yours is the first book I wanted to get for Kindle so I can start saving trees, but I think saving the planet may not happen. The download keeps failing, do you by chance have plans to release it through iTunes? Thanks in advance, I hope to enjoy your book very soon. From the teaser I read, it looks to be a good one.
