“Pay What You Will” THIS Weekend!!

In celebration of my finally getting some love on Amazon Japan, I’ve decided to run the following promotion:

During this upcoming weekend, on June 17 (date depends on where you are in the world, of course) starting at 12am (PST), the Kindle (Electronic) Version of “Hi! My Name is Loco and I am a Racist” will be marked-down from its current $9.99 price tag to the low, low, LOOOOOW and unbeatable price of  $__________ !!!

That’s right! Go ahead, fill in the blank with whatever you like!

Got five bucks? I’ll take them off your hands! Only got a buck or two? Hey, times are hard. I feel you! And, I’ll take it!

Got NOTHING to spend on this underground memoir that has the country a-buzzing, that’s sure to bless you with hours of edu-tainment; this gripping, no-holds barred page-turner that readers have called brilliant, heart-wrenching, thought-provoking, inspired and inspiring…cry in the john tear-jerking and laugh out loud on the train and make a spectacle of yourself funny???

Well…hey, THIS weekend, I got your back…It’s all yours…for FREE!

Yep, it’s a Pay What You Will Weekend!!

All I ask is you agree to let me know (and as many of your friends as you can) what you think of my work once you’re done! (A shout out / review on one or all the following wouldn’t hurt, either: Amazon, Goodreads, Your own Blog/Website, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc…)

That’s all there is to it. No rules, no hassles…

So, are you feeling like supporting a struggling indie artist (and, YES, I am struggling) and wanna pay something? Just log on to your PayPal account and send however much you like to my PayPal account: brotherbaye@hotmail.com

(If you don’t have a PayPal account, it just takes a few minutes to set one up. Go here: www.paypal.com and sign up. PayPal accepts all major credit cards and really is the safest way to pay online. I’ve used it for years without incident).

Wanna go Loco free? Here you are, the link to your FREE book:  Hi! My Name is Loco… KINDLE VERSION.

I won’t be mad at you…hey, us indie artists gotta do what we gotta do to get our work out there and read, you know?

Thank you all for your consideration! And, have a lovely Pay What You Will weekend! (-;

Loco

PS: Special Time Considerations

Naturally that link won’t be active until 12am PST on June 17th.

***Amazon.com works on PST (Pacific Standard Time) and I cannot choose the exact time- only the date! So, for you folks in Japan that means the book will be available at this Pay What You Will rate at PST +16 (from  Sunday June 17th 4pm to Monday June 18th at 4pm)***

**Other countries, please use Google or do the math for your time zone. **

 Just love this picture!

    Hey Loco-san!
    I really really really want to read your book. I really want to contribute as well.. but I don’t have a kindle.
    Sucks! Any idea on how I can get a hold of your book?
    Thanks!

    Does it work for Kindle on the computer? Because I can’t download it?

    Thank you!

      Yes it does

    Downloaded it a few hours ago (yes it works on a computer as well as on Kindle for Android).
    I promise to give a detailed review on my blog when I’m finished (may take a few weeks though, I’ve been busy lately)

    O.k. read most of it and enjoyed your experiences in Japan. However, I could have done without NY narrative and name checking of rappers.

    You mentioned you enjoy Toni Morrison but wondered about her target audience.

    Funny but I was thinking the same thing about your book.

      Thanks for the shout Ken!
      Well, maybe you’ll have an experience like I had with beloved if you ever return to the book again. It took me several readings of beloved to become her target audience.
      Funny, though, I’ve had people have the opposite reaction of you, in that they were meh on the japan stories and wanted to know more about what it was like first hand growing up in NY in the charged atmosphere of this period. I wrote pertinent vignettes that illustrated the events that helped shaped me into the man i am today, so readers can see how ive come to hold some of the views i do today. Without that I think a memoir would be incomplete.
      I do appreciate your giving it a chance though. Sorry if there wasn’t enough japan related material.
      And what can I tell you about Hiphop? I knew hiphop since it was born. I knew its parents. I watched the little rugrat wreck havoc. I watched it take it’s first steps and utter its first words. I lived next door. It’s part of me. It’s the soundtrack of my life, the score of my story, the chorus of my sermon. I’m only surprised there wasn’t more about its intimate corellation with my thoughts acts and deeds. Maybe in the next book (-;
