An Angry Black Man Says to an Elderly Korean Couple…

…I’m right fucking here, right in your motherfucking grill!!”

Today marks the first anniversary of this incident on a bus in South Korea.

Watching this video, again, today, I’m STILL filled with all kinds of emotions that defy my efforts to convert them into the appropriate words.

I tried a year ago as some of you might remember: http://www.locoinyokohama.com/2011/09/01/a-man-of-his-time/

I won’t say I failed. but I will say I only scratched the surface.

If I could speak directly to this guy I think I would say, as Eddie Murphy so aptly put it in one of his most ingenious roles in the movie, Bowfinger:

“Keep it Together. KeepitogetherKeepitogetherKeepitogetherKeepitogetherKeepitogetherKeepitogether…”

I know you gotta release that stress steam somehow…and there’s no better feeling way than upside the head of the people who appear to be culpable. But theirs are not the grills we need to be getting in, trust me! Gotta refrain, bruh. Refrain and regroup. Gotta find another outlet. Preferably a constructive or creative one, one that will inspire people to think before they paint. One that will even keep you thinking…

I’ve chosen writing but there are many others. Find one that suits your talents and do it til it hurts!

Then do it some more.

It’s the only way to truly be here! Fuck around and you’ll be there (prison, grave, etc…) in a hot second, and then who’s grill will you be in?

Peace and love,

Goddamn! That’s the power of an angry black man right there… Nobody on the bus except that lady bothered to give it back to him. I mean, justified or not, I’ve seen the angry foreigner get caught up in a shitstorm for letting people know he wasn’t having it. Ashamed to admit, I’ve been there myself. And, I’ve heard that Korean guys are willing to stand up when it comes to it… Guess that stereotype is wrong too…

Anyway, I banned myself from drunken last-train travel because I created my own scene there on more than one occasion.

Spray paint him white and switch blue to red and drop the “See these rocks?” and I am him. Old or young man or woman everyone get’s the “What the fuck you lookin at? nani? They stopped the train once and I was let out and passed out on a rice field’s berm….one of those WHAT AM I DOING WITH MY LIFE moments 4 sure.
